Greetings
Hope all is well. Wow, it was a busy week. Thanks to all those who have volunteered their time and energy to various events and happenings at Moreno Valley. We are a very busy Lodge and it takes many people to keep this machine running as smoothly as it does. Thanks to you all!!! This past week we did Emergency Child ID on Sunday and Saturday at the LA County Fair and at the Youth Fest in Moreno Valley along with regular activities at the Lodge.
 
Saturday, Oct 13 will be the day we cook breakfast as a Major Fund raiser for the Lodge. Please get your tickets now. Cost is 8 per person and I have tickets. Our goal is $1600..won't you please assist us in selling tickets. This would be a great way to introduce your friends to the Masons, OES, Jobie's or Demolay. Don't Delay..do it Today!!!
 
Monday, Oct 15th will be an ON THE LEVEL program. That is a program to provide your guests information on Masonry in general and Moreno Valley Lodge in particular. The evening will begin at 7 pm. Please begin inviting your guests right now. This is a new, and very informational program; about 30 - 45 minutes in all.

Sweethearts are invited to Dinner and Entertainment show at the San Bernadino Scottish Rite. Everyone is invited but the evening is to honor our Sweethearts (widows of our deceased Brethren, to whom we are obligated to keep watch over). Need tickets? Contact Wor Manny Blanco!
 
Wednesday, the 19th
Star of the Valley, (Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star) meets at 7:30 pm at the Lodge
 
Thursday, the 20th
Masons will be conferring up to 3 Fellowcraft degrees. Lodge opens at 6 and the degrees will begin at 7 pm
Hopefully the Brothers to be conferred will arrive around 6:15 or 6:30 so we can do their returns and be ready to "degree" at 7. Awesome.

Diversity Fair at Loma Linda Veteran's Hospital, near the FRONT DOOR entrance, from 10 am to 2 pm. Set up will be at 8:30 am. Bro John'e and myself taking care of booth. Want to help? Contact me if you'd like to assist us.
 
Hi 12 Luncheon at Evergreen Lodge. Arrive at 11:30 am and have a great lunch and listen to a great speaker
 
Saturday, 22nd
Wor Wayne Schooler's 50 year pin presentation in Peoria AZ. Will leave the Lodge at 6 am SHARP. If you are planning to attend, and haven't confirmed with me, this is the last date to do that. Call me. We will be returning around 9 or 10 pm that evening.
 
Sunday, 23rd
We need three or four people to work the Masonic Booth at the LA County Fair in Pomona, from 10 am to 5 pm. There is one parking pass available and tickets for entry to the fair, if you are working the booth. I really need volunteers to work this shift. Will you step up and be the volunteers?  Contact me soon.
 
We are looking for Candidate Coaches. We are looking for 10 people to work on the Phone Committee. Work has progressed to get the Data Base cleaned up, so please step up and be a volunteer. This can really help us keep the members updated on "last minute happenings' and reminder phone calls.

A note of Passing:
Brother Ray Tanner, a Master Mason, Member of Moreno Valley Lodge 804 has passed on. The family will no be having a Masonic Funeral for him. Bro Tanner's wife, is a member of the Star of the Valley, OES.
A memorial will be held Monday, April 9, 2007, 11:00 A.M. at Miller-Jones Mortuary 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley.  Cross streets Pigeon Pass and Heacock Street south of the 60 freeway.  Followed At 1:00 P.M. services at Riverside National Cemetery, Van Buren x Hwy. 215.
Following the Memorials, refreshments will be served at IL Sorrento Mobile Home Park Club House, 23820 Ironwood Avenue cross streets Pigeon Pass and Heacock Streets north of the 60 freeway, Moreno Valley.
If you are available, it would mean a lot to the family if his Masonic Brothers attended the ceremony.

Easter Egg Hunt (and BBQ) at the Lodge on Saturday the 7th @ 11 am:
Please remember the Lodge is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt. Please bring your young ones down for some fun and food. We could use some Prizes if you would like to bring them. We will be having hunts for the small bunnies as well as the older bunnies. I don't know if the Elder bunnies will get to hunt eggs, LOL.

Remember, Also, on the 29th we have a Past Master's Roundtable...all Mason are invited to join in the education the Past Masters have in store for us. Again, all Masons of any degree are invited. It's going to be great!!!!

Stated Meeting information: I would like to ask all attendees at the Stated Meetings to show respect to our visitors and guests by:

*I think it would be a great Idea to have one member of each body assigned to welcome anyone that walks in the door that could be potential member of their Order.
*When someone is speaking I ask that you cease your discussions at the tables and give the speaker your undivided attention. Your help in this matter is GREATLY appreciated.
 
****We are going to change things a little. We are going to OPEN the meeting at 6:30 with Prayer, then have the Guest Speakers, do award and introductions, and THEN we will serve the meal. If you are someone who comes to the dinners EVERY DINNER, we would like to make sure we have you on our Standing Reservation list; for this and making reservations please call our Jr Warden, Wor Patrick Janitell at  951-485-1073  . This is going to be a very busy week and important too. Wor Gene Ethridge will be presented his 50 year pin after the Stated Meeting. Dinner will be served before hand. If you wish to attend dinner, the cost is $7 per person and reservations are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Please call Melba at 951-247-1073 to make them. You can, obviously, attend the 50 Yr Presenation without dinner at no charge.

Saturday: Masons will sponsor a 'VALENTINE'S DAY DANCE' for our Sweethearts from 6 - 8 pm. The officers from the Lodge will be there in Tuxes to dance with the ladies and help them fill up their Dance Cards. Officer's Please let me know if you CANT be there. Any other guys are welcome to come and Dance with our Sweetheart Ladies.
Masons may be having a Work Party on Saturday morning. Will be announced at the Stated Meeting and We'll send out notice of it via Email too!!
